FACTORY SECOND: This board is part of a limited collection of Factory Second surfboards. These boards function as intended but have a touch more personality. This personality comes in the form of imperfections in the handwork that is involved in making these surfboards. For example, the colour is not perfect, the logo is in the wrong position or there is a minor fault in the finish. In return, you get a great deal on the price. The Five Sugars, is one of the most versatile surfboards we have created, its modern rocker and higher volume makes paddling and wave catching a dream. It has a 2+1 fin setup, and the slightly rolled Vee bottom through the back half makes for smooth flowing rail to rail transitions. A flatter mid-section makes for fast trimming, while the concave in the front half comes into play with long extended nose rides in all sections of the wave! Maybe you are a short boarder that wants that board for smaller days, but doesn’t want a beast and still wants the ability to roll off the top and have plenty of speed. Or perhaps you are a longboarder that wants a board to nose ride and to turn with plenty of speed in those waves that aren’t your perfect point setup. Then this is the board for you.
